Uniforms
What do I need to buy?
CISA provides a jersey, shorts, and socks for recreational youth players to use during their games.
Required Items to Purchase
Parents must supply the following essential gear for both practices and games:
- Shin Guards: Crucial for safety. Please refer to the sizing chart on the packaging to ensure a proper fit—guards that are too big or too small will not protect the player correctly.
- Soccer Cleats: Unlike baseball or football cleats, soccer cleats do not have a toe cleat at the front of the shoe. Players will not be allowed on the field if they are wearing the wrong cleats. Note: Regular athletic shoes/sneakers are allowed, but they may cause players to slip and risk injury.
- Soccer Ball: Each player needs their own ball for practice.
- Soccer Ball Sizing Guide
- Sizes 3–7 (U4–U8): Size 3
- Sizes 8–12 (U9–U12): Size 4
- Ages 13 & Up (U13–U18): Size 5 (Standard adult size)
- Optional: Size 1 balls (often called "skills balls") can also be purchased for practicing footwork.
Practice Apparel Guidelines
Players will need extra athletic apparel for weekday practices.
- Do wear: Extra soccer socks, athletic shorts, practice shirts, and comfortable athletic clothing.
- Do NOT wear: Blue jeans, polo shirts, or jewelry of any kind.
